Blackhead Lightkeepers' Houses - Unit 1

McCreas Brae, Whitehead, Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, BT38 9NZ
Aerial view of Blackhead Coastal Path and Lighthouse with surrounding countryside

About

Once the guardian of Belfast's glory days of shipping, Blackhead guided many great ships on their journey, none more than the famous Titanic.
Perched on the edge of a cliff, Blackhead offers a wild, windswept retreat with a difference. Guests will adore this setting on the magical Antrim Coast.

Fully restored to their former glory the houses boast bright rooms with antique furniture and lighthouse paraphernalia. Blackhead offers its guests the opportunity to relax by enveloping them in its charm and magic, watching the sun rise over the Irish sea or experiencing the elements at the height of a storm.

Blackhead Lighthouse is part of the Great Lighthouse Trail, more information on the trail is found at greatlighthouses.com

The panoramic views from this property are stunning and fill visitors with pure delight and admiration. This magnificent house, in its breathtaking location, is a proud example of Ireland's maritime heritage. Guests can enjoy spectacular views over Belfast Lough from the Lightkeepers' Houses. A popular coastal path leads along in front of the lighthouse to the Victorian town of Whitehead. Lying 20 miles north of Belfast, Whitehead is only a 40 minute train journey away from city center shopping and many historical tours.
