Slemish Mountain

Gracehill Moravian Village

Quite simply an area like no other - it is Northern Ireland's first Conservation Area and uniquely, is the only complete Moravian settlement in Ireland. Gracehill Old School dates from 1765 and now houses a welcoming restaurant, Museum Room and Schoolroom. Perfect for a day of discovery and learning. 

Arthur Cottage

Venture just outside Ballymena town itself and into the village of Cullybacky and you'll find ancestral home of Chester Alan Arthur, 21st President of The United States. This original thatched cottage gives a real feel of what life was like in Ireland in the late 18th Century, and you'll get the chance to see traditional skills in action such as sewing and soda bread making over the fire.
