Be part of history at Northern Ireland’s longest-standing road race! Whether you're a competitive runner, a fun run enthusiast, or a cheering spectator, this much-loved annual event promises an unforgettable day of excitement and community spirit.  For over a century, the Whitehead Easter Road Race has stood the test of time, overcoming WWII, the Troubles, and the Covid-19 pandemic to remain a cherished tradition.

First held on 12 January 1924, this iconic race celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2024! Originally a four-lap, six-mile challenge, it has evolved over the years while staying true to its roots. Since moving to Easter Monday in 1926, it has remained a cherished tradition, bringing people together year after year.

Roads effected will include Cable Road, Kings Road, Islandmagee Road, Slaughterford Road and A2 Belfast Road.
