Ulster Orchestra on Your Doorstep: Young Romantics

Mid-Antrim Museum and Arts Centre at The Braid, The Braid, 1-29 Bridge Street, Ballymena, County Antrim, BT43 5EJ
Ulster Orchestra

About

The Ulster Orchestra is delighted to return to the Braid with a programme full of rich emotion and musical drama – the perfect antidote to the January blues!

Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 makes regular appearances in the top 10 of Classic FM's annual Hall of Fame and its singing lines for the soloist mean it's widely considered the best violin concerto of all time. Ukrainian Aleksey Semenenko will bring this concerto to life under the baton of Alpesh Chauhan and with the full Ulster Orchestra in support.

The Ulster Orchestra also performs Mendelssohn's Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage, which depicts the joy of a gathering wind so a working ship can finally set sail and earn its passage, the exuberant, tempestuous Overture No.2 by Louise Farrenc and Schumann's intensely passionate Symphony No 4.

Don't miss this opportunity to catch the full Ulster Orchestra, along with world-class guests, On Your Doorstep at The Braid.
