About

The Black Desert NI Open presented by Tom McKibbin returns to the Challenge Tour schedule between 23rd July - 28th July 2024.

McKibbin has given his full support to the event that will be played at Galgorm Castle Golf Club, where he is also the Touring Professional. McKibbin enjoyed his breakthrough win in 2023 at the Porche European Open on the DP World Tour and has made a fantastic start to the 2024 campaign.

The Black Desert NI Open is back on the European Challenge Tour as one of the elevated events on the Tour's international schedule. Part of the European Tour Group and pathway to the DP World Tour. The NI Open will take place at Galgorm and is free entry for everyone.

This homegrown event is now in its 15th year and has previously set attendance records when played on the European Challenge Tour. It has also produced several nail-biting finishes when played at Galgorm, which is widely regarded as one of Northern Ireland's premier tournament venues. Galgorm has also hosted the ISPS HANDA World Invitational (2019, 2021-23) and the 2020 Irish Open on the DP World Tour.

The Black Desert NI Open now returns to Galgorm for a 72-hole Stroke Play tournament with a prize fund of over €250,000.

The free-to-attend event will focus on engaging with the local community and create a family friendly event for golfers and spectators alike.
