About

Home farm meats - from our family farm to your table! That’s the philosophy of McMaster's butchers in the coastal village of Whitehead. The shop was established in 1998 and they've over 30 years’ experience in the trade so call in and talk to our friendly staff who will happily offer advice for Sunday lunch, dinner or special occasions.

We’re the real deal - traditional craft butchers who rear our own meat in Gleno. There’s a direct line from cattle to customer. No chemicals, no preservatives and a completely personal service. Our sausages are award winning!

Treat yourself to delicious steak – Aberdeen Angus sirloins and rib eyes, born and reared in Whitehead and Islandmagee, and matured for 28 days for the best flavour. We regularly offer pre-cooked meal specials. Check out our gluten-free and slimming ranges too. Anything else we sell in is tried and tested by us. You can purchase local free-range eggs and a range of sauces and condiments to complement our meats. We also have a great range of local vegetables including potatoes and local dulse, and homemade local jam.

Hog roasts for private parties are also available with all food supplied and cooked but you’d need to book as we can be booked up at least a year in advance!

Catch us at weekly local markets in Larne (Wednesday) and Carrickfergus (Thursday).
