About

Skipper, Davy Smyth is a third generation local fisherman and will welcome you onto his boat at Carnlough Harbour. The boarding point steps are where Arya Stark features emerging from the water in Game of Thrones®. The tour offers spectacular views of the Causeway Coastal route from the sea. His boat named ‘Curiosity’ is a converted ship’s lifeboat and is fully equipped with lifejackets and binoculars.

Regular short 30 minute excursions across the Carnlough Bay through the splashing waves to the Black Rock, offering a great way to see Glencloy and Glenarm whilst enjoying stunning scenery. Passengers have the chance to spot an array of marine life including dolphins, seals, porpoises and various seabirds. Other trip options include travelling northerly, to Garron Point, a headland even more striking when viewed from the sea, passing Tommy's Port to Ringfad, site of “The Enterprise of Lynn”, a 1827 West Indiaman ship that floundered with a cargo of gold and silver coins, yet to be discovered.

Longer charter trips available by request. Where possible, bespoke tours can be arranged to discover some of the hidden treasures of this stretch of coastline. A special 4 hour trip (subject to tides and weather) includes the Maidens, rocky islets formed by erupting lava, one which still hosts a working lighthouse. Check social media for details of Maidens tour.
