About

Carnfunnock Touring Caravan Park and Camp Site are nestled within the rural surroundings of Carnfunnock Country Park, which is uniquely positioned on a beautiful stretch of the Antrim Coastal route (A2). The park is situated 3.5 miles north of Larne town and Larne harbour and just over 20 miles from Belfast.

The Park comprises of 31 fully serviced hard standing pitches for use by caravans, motor homes and trailer tents. There are also non-serviced grass pitches for up to12 tents. No static caravans or tent equipment available for hire.

The site has a modern amenity block with dedicated single set toilet and shower facilities; family wash room; disabled suite; baby changing facilities; laundry room, chemical disposal point and recycling facilities. Free Wi-fi is available. The site opens for caravans / motor homes from mid March to early November and for tents from April to September. Pre-booking is recommended with full payment required at the time of booking.

Other onsite activities and attractions include: a modern visitor centre with coffee shop and gift shop; a walled garden with unique sundials and wooden sculptures; a maze in the shape of Northern Ireland; a children’s activity centre with maritime themed outdoor adventure playground, snack stop, outdoor games including putting, face painting and glitter tattoos; a family fun zone with miniature railway, 18 hole mini golf, bungee run, bouncy castle, bungee trampolines, WOW balls and remote control boats/trucks; Carnfunnock Family Golf Centre with driving range, academy and 9 hole golf course; picnic/barbeque areas; wildlife garden and way-marked walks with orienteering and geocaching opportunities. There are also regular weekend events happening from Easter to October with band concerts taking place most Sundays from June to August.

Please note there is no overnight warden /ranger/security onsite. Our wardens finish between 21:00 and 23:00 depending on the time of year.

Booking Arrangements 2019
Advance booking is essential particularly for weekends, bank holidays and during July and August.
Tent bookings are not available online and may only be booked by telephone or in person.
From Monday 14th January 2019 onwards bookings can be made online or from Tuesday 15th January onwards through The People’s Park Reception team (Tel: 028 2563 3342). From Monday 1st April 2019 onwards bookings can continue to be made online or at Carnfunnock Country Park Visitor Centre. (Tel: 028 2826 2471).

Directions from Town:
From the direction of Larne Town Centre: Follow the signs and drive along the Coast Road (A2), through Drains Bay. The Park entrance is 0.5 miles on the left. From the direction of Glenarm: Follow the signs for Larne and drive along the Coast Road (A2), through Ballygally. The Park entrance is 1 mile on the right. Look out for our unique pyramid feature indicating the Park entrance. Translink provides a regular bus service along the Coast Road (A2).
