About

Larne Museum & Arts Centre is housed in the former Carnegie Free Library building in Larne.

Built in 1905, this historic building opened its doors to the public in 1906 following financial assistance from the American millionaire and philanthropist Mr Andrew Carnegie. In 2005, to commemorate its centenary year, the building was restored and renovated, retaining many of its original features.

Larne Museum & Arts Centre has two rooms available to hire for meetings or corporate events.

Education Room

The Education Room is home to Larne Art Club.  It also facilitates school visits as part of the Museum's Education Programme.  This room is available for hire and, with its own kitchen facilities, is suitable for meetings, workshops and group visits.  Maximum capacity 50.

Auditorium

The Auditorium is home to Larne Drama Circle.  This room is available for hire and is suitable for meetings, group visits, exhibitions and events.  Maximum capacity 110.

Catering

Hirers may make their own arrangements for the provision of catering requirements for their event.  There is a kitchen adjacent to the Education Room and another beside the Auditorium.
