With uninterrupted views stretching from Slemish Mountain across a river valley to a ruined hilltop church, The Copper Barn is a secluded, stylish, eco-friendly rural retreat like few others.
This striking, award winning modern barn conversion sits in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Surrounded by nature, a fair few sheep & not much else, the Barn is characterised by its original stone barn base, contemporary exteriors, stylish interiors & magnificent vistas. Expect style, solitude, peace & quiet.
Yet, despite its countryside setting right by the Antrim Hills & the Glens of Antrim, the Barn is only 45 minutes from Belfast and well located for the very best experiences, sights and activities Northern Ireland has to offer.
It comfortably sleeps six across its two floors and 110 square metres. The top floor holds the big open plan living, cooking & dining space (plus those views), along with the ensuite master bedroom. Downstairs has two more bedrooms – one a double, the other a double or twin – plus the main bathroom.
Available on a self-catering basis, each booking has exclusive use of the whole barn. We can ensure that the barn is fully stocked for your arrival with everything needed for you to cook your choice from a range of menu options (all locally sourced, of course!) And we have many great recommendations for the very best restaurants and takeaways in Northern Ireland (including genuinely THE BEST fish & chips going).
The Barn has featured in property magazines such as Dezeen, the Irish Times & Grand Designs Monthly, while the development won the 2014 RIBA Regional & Small Project Awards and the RSUA Residential Design Award.
And thanks to the help of Belfast homewares experts Maven, virtually everything inside the barn was made by contemporary craftspeople on the island of Ireland. Add in a wee library of Irish books & playlist of local music and the barn has everything you need for a relaxing, reviving & unforgettable Northern Irish stay.
